Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

The Holidays are here, so let’s fill the park one last time before the year ends. Saturday, December 3rd, will be our annual Christmas Tree Lighting. Bring your family and friends, umbrellas, boots, warm coats, and mittens.

The evening will start with a potluck dinner at the Beavercreek Grange. The Grange will provide turkey, ham, potatoes and gravy. Just bring your favorite side dish and/or dessert to compliment the meal. Food items can be dropped off starting at 4:30 and dinner will start at 5pm. Wear your ugliest sweater for the ugly sweater contest that will be judged after dinner.

At 6:30 Santa Claus will arrive to parade everyone to the Korner Park. There will be photo opportunities, stockings and goodies for the kids, songs to sing, hot chocolate, cider, cookies and a special guest. We will then count down to the lighting of the Christmas Tree at 7pm.

Thank you to everyone that has helped put this special event together.

We hope to see everyone Saturday!

To prepare for the event, several local volunteers convened at Beavercreek Saloon to stuff stockings full of goodies to be given away to kids at the Tree Lighting Ceremony. All toys and treats were donated by community members through an Amazon wish list. A huge shout out to the Hamlet Parks Committee, Beavercreek Saloon, and all the volunteers who donated time and resources to stuff stockings and make the annual event possible.
